Last week panic got a hold of almost everyone in the world, this week a state of alert and isolation was declared in Colombia and, despite the fact that we didn't yet have fifty (50) cases across the country, some people are acting as if the apocalypse has been announced.

Fear of the unknown and fear of death are natural but, if we only think of ourselves, in moments as delicate such as this, the only thing we are going to achieve is to accelerate the process.

The most important thing now is to take care of ourselves by taking care of others, it is incredible that a quasi-deadly virus is only combatible when we are aware and considerate of others.

For now, I would like to remind you of some recommendations:

  • Wash your hands or clean your hands with disinfectant.

  • Disinfect cell phones and other devices with alcohol spray or antibacterial gel.

  • Wear face masks if you have a cough of any kind.

  • If you think you have any symptoms of COVID-19 call the emergency lines.

Let's take care of each other and keep calm. I hope that next week we can read each other again; and now, my tarot reading for this week.

A warm hug, A ~

Week 3: March 16 - 22

The power of the water returns this week with the 3 and 4 of Cups; they both talk to us about family and friends respectively although, is there a difference between one and the other? I want to clarify here that I am also referring to the family that we have chosen and not only the one that we are bound by blood. Last week gave us the necessary time for the changes to settle and, if we were vigilant, we still have a kingdom. This week brings to us the energy to stop doubting it.

The 3 and 4 of Cups tell us about smoothing out the rough edges that were

left from that first week of March. Mind you, it is not about going back to our old patterns, but making friends with the new ones and making sure that they are working properly, in all areas of our lives.

The 3 of Cups, specifically, suggests us spending time with the family, enjoying filial love and its warmth. It tells us that we can make peace with the part of us that is part of a family; having individual agency within the family unit can be difficult and the changes brought about at the beginning of the month could have been surprising, although not necessarily bad, for our family. Since they have settled, we can go back and reaffirm them with the tranquillity and warmth of filial love.

The 4 of Cups talks to us about our friends and suggests, once again, to review where we are giving more and where we are giving less. It asks us, with which friends do we need to spend more time and appreciate them more? It is time to do it reach out to them.

On the other hand, the scene the 2 of Wands shows us, refers directly to last week, the Queen of Wands inverted who keeps the coals burning and watches over her kingdom so that it does not catch fire.

In the 2 of Wands the fire is on and is being watched, although there is no longer fear of it; between the past week and this one, allowing everything to settle, we have built a container, a good strategy to keep us moving forward, without fear of it running wild.

The character we see in the 2 of Wands holds a small representation of the world in his right hand and a staff in his left, while observing the landscape at his feet. He is someone who controls his kingdom, his world, his decision making, who does not spend his time reacting to one event and another, but is self-confident and capable of making decisions in the face of life; someone who is satisfied with his situation because he himself has created it. The idea is that this week, we can feel like this.
